This year marks the seventh annual

Eye for The Wild amateur photography contest, which launches on World Wildlife Day (March 3rd).
World Wildlife Day is a United Nations International day to celebrate all the wild animals around the globe and the contribution that they make to our lives.
In Alberta, we are fortunate to share our spaces with hundreds of different species of wildlife. To celebrate their beauty and contributions to the ecosystem, dust off your cameras and get to snapping!
The contest runs from March 3rd to April 15th.

Ethical wildlife photography practices are expected of our applicants. Learn more here

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we acknowledge all people who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
